about doncaster maths network
The Doncaster Mathematics Network was set up in 2020 during the Covid-19 pandemic. The purpose of the network was to improve the standard of mathematics teaching and learning across Doncaster. The vision of the network is:
'To make Doncaster the leading region for mathematics teaching, research and learning in the world. Supporting all schools in the area to deliver world class learning experiences to their students which inspire them to pursue STEM based careers. To make Doncaster a world leading research hub for mathematics.'
Over the coming years we are looking to hold regular meetings with local and national mathematics educators, research leads and teachers to support mathematics teachers at all levels. We want to strengthen links between the schools in Doncaster and the surrounding area to increase collaboration and your support networks.
We are also looking to set up a blog within 2022 to share best practice and ideas around teaching and learning. This is to commence in the first quarter of 2022- if you would be willing to participate in this please contact Ben Woodhouse on b.woodhouse@stwacademy.com
